“Look and think before opening the shutter. The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera.”

Yousuf Karsh

Gary Gray is a life long photographer who has worked for advertising agencies, magazines, and freelanced in the past. He attended the Ansel Adams Yosemite Valley Workshop in 1977 studying with such greats as Phillip Hyde, Dave Bohn, and Yousuf Karsh, as well as Ansel Adams. This workshop helped him define his passion for photography and to always be open to new challenges and changes in his work. He photographs a diverse range of subjects from nature landscapes to portraits to city scapes. Retired from almost 30 years of teaching mathematics and science, he is now dedicating his time to photography again and wants to share his passion with the world as a reflection of what we all see, but sometimes don’t see.
